ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swimming more than quadrupled their team lead on the second day of the 2025 Atlantic East Conference Swimming Championships Friday (Feb. 14). The champions for the 500-freestyle, the 200-individual medley, the 50-freestyle, and the 200-freestyle relay were decided tonight.
St. Mary's College stretched its 12-point lead to 68, holding on to the No. 1 spot in the six-team field with 274 points. Marymount (Va.) University, the two-time defending champion, is second with 206 points. Rounding out the top-six are Immaculata University (170), Marywood University (151), Cedar Crest College (110), and Gallaudet University (92).
The Seahawks are hoping to notch their third Atlantic East crown after winning back-to-back league championship titles in 2021 and 2022.
Sophomore
Kelsie Miller (Potomac, Md./Churchill) garnered an eight-second plus victory in the 200-individual medley as Miller posted a 2:08.65.

Emerson Young (Bel Air, Md./Harford Technical) captured SMCM's second gold medal in the 50-freestyle in 24.64, edging her teammate, first-year
Addison Willey (Lexington Park, Md./Great Mills), by just 0.29 seconds (24.93).
Miller, first-year
Lauren Goulet (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis), Willey, and Young came together for gold in the 200-freestyle relay in a championship meet record of 1:39.47.
Junior captain
Venus Kai Judge (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) picked up a silver medal in the 500-freestyle, clocking a 5:20.45 to miss first-place honors by just 0.10 seconds. Goulet and first-year
Mandy Cartwright (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) joined Judge on the podium with fifth place (5:38.82) and eighth (5:54.64), respectively.
First-years
Jesse Slingluff (Crownsville, Md./Old Mill) and
Natalie Canham (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) made a splash in their championship meet debut, reaching the podium in sixth (2:25.90) and eighth (2:30.43) places, respectively, in the 200-individual medley. Junior
Bella Ramirez (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) took third in the consolation final in 2:34.88 for 11th overall.
First-year
Isa Bianco (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) joined Young and Willey on the podium for the 50-freestyle as Bianco notched an eighth-place finish in 27.27 while junior
Kate Pass (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) won the consolation final in 27.60 for ninth overall.
