Virginia Beach, Va. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland outdoor track and field team headed down to the Virginia Wesleyan Spring Break Invite at the Betty S. Rogers Track & Field Center. The Seahawks competed against both Division II and III teams to start their 2025 outdoor campaign.
 
How It Happened:

• Two Seahawks were in the 100 meter Prelims. Jaedon Aso led the way in 12.53.  Zack Kralec finished just behind in 12.60, setting a personal best.
• Aaron Morales earned an 8^th place finish in the 110m Hurdles in a time of 18.71.
• Five Seahawks finished in the 200 meter dash. Moses McRae earned an outdoor best of 23.51. Jaedon Aso and RJ Etzler finished the 4^th and 5^th Seahawks with personal bests of 24.76 and 25.74 respectively.
• Six Seahawks competed in the 400m event, led by Collin Fitzgerald in 4^th place in a time of 51.51. Rounding out the top three Seahawks is Moses McRae and Mason Layne in 52.76 and 53.48 respectively.
• Aaron Morales took on the 400m Hurdles, finishing in a time of 1:02.95.
• The four performers in the 800m run were led by Pierson Hogue with a personal outdoor best 2:06.46 finish.  Jake Robey  finished in 2:08.15.  Jonathan Howell rounded out the top four with a personal best of 2:21.12.
• Two personal records were set in the 1500m run. Pierson Hogue finished in 8^th place with a time of 4:20.03.  Jake Robey followed after in 4:41.84.
• The 3000 meter Steeple Run had two Seahawks compete. Kelly Byrne took 3^rd in 10:42.96. Blake Carberry earned 5^th with a personal best of 11:35.52.
• Two Seahawks eared personal bests in the 5K run. Bryce Webster and Owen Swisdak finished in 18.19.88 and 20:04.86 respectively.
• Zack Kralec competed in the Men's Pole Vault, finishing 1^st with a height of 4.05m.
• Collin Fitzgerald held a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.83 meters.
• The Javelin Throw had two Seahawks compete.  Zack Kralec threw a distance of 44.12m. Jake Robey set a personal best of 41.80m.
