Washington, D.C. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's outdoor track and field team travelled to Washington, D.C. to take on the Bison Classic hosted by Gallaudet University. The Seahawks competed against Division I and III teams and unattached track clubs.
 
How It Happened:

• Three Seahawks were in the 100-meter Prelims.  Zane Obi led the way in 9^th in a time of 11.78 and a 100m debut. Aaron Morales followed behind in 12.20. Luke Schwenk rounded out the Seahawks in 12.31, earning an outdoor debut.
• Aaron Morales raced in the 110-meter Hurdles prelims, earning a finals qualifying time of 19.28.  Morales then finished in 8^th in the finals in a time of 18.69.
• Jonathan Howell competed for the men's 200m dash, earning a personal best of 26.60.
• Nick Haylock earned an outdoor debut in the 400-meter event, finishing in a time of 54.33.
• Jonathan Howell led the way in the 800-meter run for the Seahawks.  Howell earned a 6^th place finish in a time of 2:16.20
• Markell Blake earned a personal record in the men's 1500m in a time of 5:09.42.
• The Seahawks swept the top three finished in the 10K. Pierson Hogue led the way in 1^st with a finish of 35:13.53 setting a St. Mary's school record. Kelly Byrne followed in 2^nd place with a time of 37:26.12. Owen Swisdak took 3^rd place and a personal best of 39:57.69.
• The Hammer Throw saw Zack Kralec set a personal best with a throw of 27.53m.
• The Javelin Throw by Jake Robey saw a personal record with a distance of 43.97m and a 1^st place finish.
• RJ Etzler competed at the High Jump, finishing with a personal best height of 1.55m.
• Two Seahawks competed at the Long Jump. Zane Obi set a personal best with a distance of 5.56m. Aaron Morales jumped 5.33m, setting a personal best.
• Zack Kralec tied the St. Mary's school record in the Triple Jump with a jump of 11.52m.
