Washington, D.C. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's outdoor track and field team travelled to Washington, D.C. to compete at the two-day event United East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Thomas O. Berg Track hosted by Gallaudet University. The Seahawks earned a 2
nd place team finish with 226 points, competing against 7 other institutions.

How It Happened:
- Four Seahawks competed at the 100m Prelims. Collin Fitzgerald took 1st in 11.20. Nicholas Haylock set a personal best of 11.50. And rounding out the finals qualifiers was Mason Layne in 11.71.
- The 100-meter Finals saw Collin Fitzgerald take 3rd place in 11.27. Nicholas Haylock set a new personal best in a time of 11.40 taking 4th place. Mason Layne finished in a time of 12.36.
- Two Seahawks earned personal bests in the 110m Hurdles. Nicholas Haylock earned 1st place in 15.86. Aaron Morales finished behind in a time of 18.29.
- Five Seahawks raced in the 200-meter dash prelims. Collin Fitzgerald ran in a time of 22.64 for a 1st place finish. Nicholas Haylock followed after with a personal best of 23.36. Also qualifying for the finals were Mason Layne and Moses McRae in 23.53 and 23.63 respectively.
- Collin Fitzgerald earned 2nd place in the 200m Finals in 22.75. Moses McRae set a personal best in 4th place in 23.30. Mason Layne rounded out the top three Seahawks in 5th in 23.42.
- The 400-meter saw four Seahawks compete. Moses McRae took 1st place in a personal best of 50.89. Mason Layne took 2nd place in a personal best of 51.87. Rounding out the top three was Henry Wilcox in 53.90.
- Nicholas Haylock led the three Seahawks in the 400m Hurdles for a St. Mary's school record and a United East conference record in 1st place in 57.68. Aaron Morales took 3rd place in a personal record of 59.52. Markell Blake finished after in a time of 1:05.39.
- Six of the seven Seahawks to compete in the 800m event set personal records. Pierson Hogue led the way in 1st place in 2:02.60. Jake Robey took 3rd in 2:03.23. RJ Etzler earned 4th place in 2:06.93. Blake Carberry took 6th place in 2:07.35. Rounding out the Seahawks were Jonathan Howell and Henry Wilcox in 2:13.61 and 2:15.40 respectively.
- Four Sehawks finished in the 1500-meter run. Pierson Hogue led the Seahawks in 2nd place in a personal best of 4:16.75. Jake Robey followed after in a personal best of 4:28.18. And Blake Carberry set a personal best of 4:29.44.
- Five Seahawks competed in the 3000-meter Steeple event. Kelly Byrne earned a 2nd place finish in 10:48.90. Blake Carberry finished 4th in 11:24.01. Earning personal bests were Nate Norris, Jake Robey, and Bryce Webster in 11:32.28, 11:36.97, and 11:44.27 respectively.
- Pierson Hogue led the Seahawks in the 5K event. Hogue finished 3rd in 17:40.97. Kelly Byrne followed after in 4th in 17:46.86. Earning personal records were Blake Carberry and Owen Swisdak in 18:08.83 and 18:53.85 respectively.
- Three Seahawks finished in the 10,000-meter run. Pierson Hogue finished in 37:43.18 in 2nd place. Kelly Byrne finished in 40:47.44 in 3rd. Owen Swisdak finished in 42:02.33 for a 4th finish.
- The men's 4x100m relay squad of Collin Fitzgerald, Nicholas Haylock, Mason Layne, and Jaedon Aso finished in 2nd with a combined time of 43.61.
- The 4x400m relay squad of Nicholas Haylock, Mason Layne, Moses McRae, and Jake Robey finished in 2nd with a time of 3:33.20.
- Aaron Morales set a personal best in the Long Jump with a 6th place finish of 5.69m. Collin Fitzgerald followed after with a jump of 5.26m
- Zack Kralec set a St. Mary's school record in the Triple Jump with a distance of 12.21m on the sixth jump of six attempts. Aaron Morales jumped a distance of 10.96m. Jonathan Howell set a personal best of 10.58 meters.
- Zack Kralec competed at the Pole Vault, earning 1st place with a height of 4.45m, setting a new United East conference record.
- Luke Schwenk set a personal best in the Shot Put with a throw of 8.38m.
- Zack Kralec led two Seahawks in the Javelin Throw finals with a distance of 46.68m for a 3rd finish. Jake Robey followed behind with a distance of 42.36m. Luke Schwenk set a personal best of 30.64m.
- Two Seahawks competed at the Discus Throw. Zack Kralec competed in the finals and took 8th place with a throw of 32.26m.
- Zack Kralec earned a personal best in the Hammer Throw with a distance of 30.19m.
