20 Seahawks Land on Atlantic East All-Academic Team

LANCASTER, Pa. – Twenty members of the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's and women's swimming team landed on the 2024-25 Atlantic East Conference All-Academic Team Tuesday afternoon (June 17). St. Mary's College is a conference affiliate in men's and women's swimming.
 
To earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a full-time student and register a 3.20 grade-point average or better through the Fall and Spring semesters. For the full criteria, click here.
 
The Seahawks men's and women's swimming teams each garnered 10 spots on this year's academic squad.
 
For women's swimming, Kate Pass '26 (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck), Bella Ramirez '26 (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook), and Kaitlyn Soldon '27 (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) are repeat selections. Pass and Ramirez have both landed on the All-Academic Team for three years in a row while Soldon is making her second straight appearance.
 
All but three of the men's swimmers were repeat honorees. Luke Schwenk '25 (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) led the way with his fourth straight All-Academic Team spot while Jair Jackson '26 (Laurel, Md./Chapelgate Christian) and Will Kendrick '26 (Laurel, Md./DeMatha Catholic) earned their third straight selection.
 
Additionally, Luca Fairbank '27 (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney), Sam Meisel '25 (Chevy Chase, Md./Walter Johnson), Kyle Smith '27 (Crofton, Md./Crofton), and Jake Williams '27 (Port Republic, Md./Calvert) are all making their second appearance.
 
Bauer, Lepine, Lutz, and Ramirez all posted 4.0 GPAs for the 2024-25 academic year.
