St. Mary's City, Md. - Sophomore attackman Michael Mules (Ellicott City, Md./Boys' Latin) led 12 different Seahawk scorers with career-highs of five goals, three assists and eight points as St. Mary's College of Maryland cruised to a 20-9 Capital Athletic Conference victory over Wesley College Wednesday afternoon.

The second quarter was all even as both teams notched three goals each and St. Mary's headed into halftime with a 9-4 margin with Mull assisting on two scores.

The Seahawks repeated their first quarter antics by outscoring Wesley, 6-1, in the third as St. Mary's scored the final five of the period, including two in a 23-second span.  Senior attackman Dan Skeels (Roseland, N.J./West Essex) netted the Wolverines' lone goal.

It was a closer match-up in the final stanza as the two teams traded the first six goals before juniors Sean Reitenbach (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and Chris Edge (Chestertown, Md./St. Andrew's School [Del.]) netted back-to-back goals for St. Mary's.

First-years Albert Mitchell (Shrewsbury, Mass./Saint John's) and Alex Brylske (Bowley's Quarters, Md./Mt. Carmel) combined for a 13-of-20 effort in the center circle as St. Mary's controlled the face-offs with a 15-of-29 showing for the game.

The Seahawks outhustled Wesley on ground balls, 42-31, as Mitchell and sophomore defenseman Peter Windsor (Towson, Md./St. Paul's) each scooped up seven loose balls.

Juniors Stu Wheeler (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's) and Pat Simpson (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) and first-year Ben Wheeler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) combined to hold the Wolverines to just four goals as S. Wheeler made six saves in 40 minutes and Simpson had two in 17 minutes.

St. Mary's outshot the Wolverines, 53-32, and Wesley's three goalies turned away 19 shots as junior starter Michael McGuigan (Middletown, Del./Middletown) picked up 12 saves in 33 minutes.

The Seahawks will return to action this Saturday, April 3 when St. Mary's hosts Hood College in league play at 3:00 pm in Seahawk Stadium.
