McCarthy had a goal and an assist as the Seahawks scored the first four goals of the last quarter, including two in 20 seconds, before Engler found the back of the net at 2:30.

The Seahawks controlled the face-offs with a 16-of-21 effort as first-year Albert Mitchell (Shrewsbury, Mass./Saint John's) went 11-of-13 with a game-high seven ground balls, leading St. Mary's to a 42-19 advantage in ground balls.
