Box Score Salisbury, Md. – Sophomore goalkeeper Nate Ramsland (Catonsville, Md./Mount Saint Joseph) collected his first career shutout as the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team posted a 2-0 blanking of Penn State Altoona for their first win of the season in the final day of action at the Elmer Lord Memorial Classic hosted by Salisbury University.
Ramsland, who played in just one game in his rookie season, needed just two saves in his second career start to help the Seahawks (1-1) secure the victory.
St. Mary's used a goal in each half en route to its first win of the 2012 campaign.
Senior midfielder Frank VanGessel (Delmar, Del./Delmar) netted the game-winning goal just 7:29 into the game with an unassisted tally for his first score of the season.
