Box Score York, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team suffered their first loss in Capital Athletic Conference action as the Seahawks fell 4-0 to York College of Pennsylvania Wednesday afternoon.
York (6-3-1, 2-0 CAC) used two goals in each half to remain undefeated in conference action as four different Spartans found the back of the net. YCP posted a 19-3 shot advantage and a 7-4 margin in corner kicks.
All three of St. Mary's (2-7-2, 1-1 CAC) shots were on target. First-year goalkeeper Sara Eaton (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal School) recorded four stops for the Seahawks.
St. Mary's will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, October 5th when the Seahawks welcome conference newcomer, Southern Virginia University, to Seahawk Stadium for a match at 1:30 pm. Women's soccer will be the second game in the Hawktoberfest at Family Weekend tripleheader Saturday as field hockey kicks off the festivities at 11:30 am and men's soccer wraps up the fun at 3:30 pm.
