St. Mary's Men's Soccer Drops 5-0 Decision at Greensboro

Greensboro, N.C. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team failed to find the back of the net for the first time this season, falling 5-0 to the host Greensboro College Pride Saturday afternoon.

Following a slow start in the first half, the Seahawks (2-3) improved their play over the final 45 minutes. St. Mary's outshot the Pride, 7-4, in the second stanza while the defense held Greensboro to just one corner kick.

Greensboro (2-2-2) posted a 19-9 shot advantage for the game as the Pride owned a 4-0 halftime lead. GC went on to finish the game with a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.

Senior goalkeeper Austin Brown (Lutherville, Md./St. Paul's) picked up three stops in the Seahawk loss.

St. Mary's will look to get back in the win column on Tuesday, September 17th as the Seahawks travel to Washington, D.C. to take on The Catholic University of America in non-conference action at 4:00 pm.
