York, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland baseball team (4-12, 0-4 CAC) drops single game to York College of Pennsylvania (5-10, 3-1 CAC) in Capital Athletic Conference action Wednesday afternoon, falling 8-0 to York.

St. Mary's finished the game with four hits. Juniors Zach Rowe (Davidsonville, Md./Calvert Hall) and Hunter Mohler (La Plata, Md./Bishop McNamara) and first-year outfielder Lucas Kraft (Boyds, Md./Clarksburg) contributed hits for the Seahawks. Mohler would pace the Seahawks with two hits for the game.

The Spartans would have a 3-0 lead by the end of the second inning. York would remain scoreless for the following four innings. They would take a big stride at the bottom of the eighth with a five-run rally. The Spartans were led by sophomore outfielder Patrick Clement (York, Pa./York Catholic), who tallied two runs, two hits, and two RBI.

Junior LHP Nick Raimondo (Davidsonville, Md./South River) would pitch for a total of seven innings and receive the loss for the game. Raimondo now holds a 1-2 record. Junior LHP Randy Frankenfield (Blue Bell, Pa./Strath Haven) recorded his first win for York as Frankenfield struck out six, walked two, and gave up just one hit in 6.0 innings.

The Seahawks will be back in action on the road for a Capital Athletic Conference doubleheader against Marymount (Va.) University, starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19. The games will be played at Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia.
