St. Mary's City, Md. – First-year centerfielder Isaiah Braxton (Baltimore, Md./Gilman) had a strong showing for the St. Mary's College of Maryland baseball team with four RBI, two hits, including a triple, and two runs. The Seahawks' 14-1 non-conference win over Gallaudet University Thursday afternoon would break a six-game skid.

How It Happened
- The Seahawks would take an early lead, scoring three runs in the first inning. They would add four more runs by the end of the fourth inning to stake a 7-1 advantage.
- The Bison's lone run came in the third inning when Cameron Upton hit towards left field to score Frank Diaz.
- After a scoreless fifth inning, St. Mary's solidified its victory with seven more runs. The Seahawks would score three runs in both the sixth and eighth innings.
- Both Braxton and sophomore second baseman Bennet Garner (Bowie, Md./Bowie) would triple while senior third baseman Colin Thatcher (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) would contribute a double.
- Senior leftfielder Dane Pepper (Reston, Va./Montrose Christian) would contribute his first three RBI of his career.
- Sophomore RHP Mark Smith (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) would earn his first victory of the season with a complete-game win as Smith threw a season-best six strikeouts and improved his record to 1-3.
For St. Mary's (6-10)
- Hitting: Braxton (2-for-4, triple, 4 RBI, 2 runs); Brandon Snow (2-for-4, 2 runs, stolen base, RBI); Matt Ansaldi (2-for-3, 1 run, stolen base)
- Pitching: Smith (W, 1-3) (9.0 IP, 6 strikeouts, 1 run, 5 hits, 1 walk)
For Gallaudet (5-11)
