Takoma Park, Md. – Five different Seahawks found the back of the net Saturday night as the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team rebounded from Wednesday's loss with a dominant non-conference win. St. Mary's (4-4) evened up its season record with a 5-0 shutout of NAIA Washington Adventist University (4-3), snapping its two-game skid.

How It Happened
- St. Mary's outshot the Shock, 11-4, over the first 45 minutes and earned four corner kicks but Laura Perez made six saves to keep the Seahawks off the scoreboard.
- Following the scoreless first half, St. Mary's finally broke through at 59:11 when sophomore Emmey German (Lutherville, Md./Towson) setup senior forward Jenna Pastel (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) for her first goal of the season.
- The Seahawks then scored three in less than four minutes as first-year forward Megan Tazza (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg), senior Rachel Harris (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville), and German all tallied a goal to stretch the lead to 4-0 at 75:44.
- Sophomore forward Alex Moody (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet Regional) put the cherry on top in the 89th minute as sophomore goalkeeper Ellie Marts (Darlington, Md./John Carroll) punted the ball down the field over the Shock backline and Moody was there to corral it and put it in goal.

Notes
- The last time St. Mary's and Washington Adventist met was on October 31, 2002 when WAU was Columbia Union College. SMCM is now 2-0 against the Shock after notching 8-0 win in 2002.
