The Seahawks were able to get on the board first in the top of the second inning. Ian Walters got things going for St. Mary's by singling to left center. Later in the inning, Ian Adams singled to center field that allowed Garrett Pullium to score from second to make it a 1-0 game. The Seahawks would get the offense going again in the third inning with Dan Weeden scoring on a passed ball.
