Lancaster, PA-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Baseball Team (1-9) began conference play with a matchup against the Lancaster Bible College Chargers (8-8). The Seahawks earned their first win of the season in game one, defeating the Chargers 15-10, but fell in game two, 

How It Happened (Game 1)

• The Seahawks took an early lead in the top of the second inning with two runs. George Berbakos was able to score on a wild pitch, while Rhett Fletcher chipped in an RBI single. 

• Lancaster Bible added one run in the bottom of the second inning, but the Seahawks responded in the top of the third. Aaron Wathen and Avery Sims both scored an unearned run to give the Seahawks a 4-1 lead. 

• The Chargers answered back very quickly, taking a 5-4 lead after scoring four runs in the bottom of the third. 

• Adrian Auber helped the Seahawks respond in a big way, hitting two two run home runs in back to back innings. Aubers home runs in the top of the fourth and fifth innings helped the Seahawks build a 10-5 lead.

• The momentum continued for the Seahawks who scored three more runs in the top of the sixth after a long ball from Cole Tarleton scored one run, while two more unearned runs were scored from George Berbakos and Ian Walters to give St. Mary's a 12-5 lead. 

• St. Mary's pushed their lead to 14-5 after Cole Tarleton connected on another home run, this time a two run shot that scored Avery Sims as well as himself. 

• Lancaster Bible trimmed into the Seahawk lead to make it 14-8 going into the top of the ninth. 

• Aaron Wathen scored an unearned run in the top of the ninth to give the Seahawks their 15th run. 

• The Lancaster Bible rally fell short as the Seahawks took game one, 15-10.

Inside the Box Score (Game 1)

• Cole Tarleton and Adrian Auber both led the way for the Seahawks with four RBIs and two home runs. 

• Cole Tarleton paced the Seahawks with three hits. Rhett Fletcher and Adrian Auber each had two. 

• Ryder Chalk got the win for St. Mary's. Chalk faced 28 batters and struck out six. Nick Russo and Adam Ferony made appearances on the bump as well. 

How It Happened (Game 2)

• Lancaster Bible scored the first 19 runs of the game, leading the Seahawks 19-0 after the first five innings of the game. 

• St. Mary's got on the board in the top of the sixth inning. Kyle Cantanzaro connected on an RBi single to send home Trevor Smith from third base. 

Inside the Box Score (Game 2)

• Avery Sims, Cole Tarleton, Rhett Fletcher, Ian Walters, Kyle Cantanzaro, and Corey Brown all had a hit for the Seahawks. Kyle Cantanzaro picked up the RBI for St. Mary's. 

• Jordan Bonhoff picked up the loss for St. Mary's. Jack Overton, Aidan Manning, Colin Patterson, and David Baggott all made appearances on the mound for St. Mary's as well.
