LATHAM, N.Y. – Sophomore
Cleo Solomon (Waldorf, Md./North Point) was named the United East Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday morning (March 25). This is Solomon's third career league player of the week award.
The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's tennis team opened United East action with a 7-0 shutout of Bryn Athyn College on March 22.
Solomon teamed up with
Amber Manspeaker '25 for a 6-1 win over BAC's
Hunter Daum and
Thea Keal at No. 1 doubles before posting a 6-0, 6-0 triumph over Keal at No. 1 singles.
St. Mary's College (5-4, 1-0 UEC) will return to action Wednesday, March 26, when the Seahawks travel to Baltimore to take on Notre Dame of Maryland University (0-1, 0-0 UEC) in a conference match at 3 pm.
