LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released the 2025 list of Division III Team Academic Award recipients and Scholar All-Americans Tuesday morning (July 1). Both the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse team and
Quinnten Hatfield '25 (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) were recognized for academic excellence.
St. Mary's College is picking up the
USILA All-Academic Team Award for the fourth consecutive season after posting a 3.329 team grade point average during the 2024-25 academic year. The USILA honors those programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the current academic year.
Hatfield becomes the 16th Seahawk to pick up
USILA Scholar All-America honors and the third in a row following
Cal Wilcox '23 and
Ethan Little '24.
The 6-4 short-stick defensive midfielder tallied a 3.925 GPA during his senior year as a physics and computer science double major and mathematics minor. The 2024-25 United East Conference Male Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, he landed on the United East Conference Winter/Spring All-Academic Team for a second straight season.
Hatfield also earned the 2025 United East Senior Scholar-Athlete Award in men's lacrosse and was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team for a third consecutive season.
This season, he sat sixth in the league with a team third-best 18 caused turnovers while ranking fifth on the team with 34 ground balls. Hatfield also tallied four goals and three assists.
He wrapped up his four-year Seahawk career as a three-time Honorable Mention United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American (2023, 2024, 2025) and a three-time All-United East selection, earning First Team honors in 2023 and 2025 while landing on the Second Team in 2024.
A team captain as a senior, he helped the team to four United East tournament championship titles, three United East regular-season championship crowns, and three trips to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament.
Hatfield amassed 153 ground balls, 57 caused turnovers, 22 goals, and 10 assists during his four-year career.
St. Mary's College (10-8) made its third straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament, advancing to the second round for a third season in a row. The Seahawks also claimed their fourth consecutive United East tournament title and third straight conference regular-season crown.
