LATHAM, N.Y. – Junior Franco Reyes (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) was selected as the United East Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon (Sept. 15). This is the first career offensive player of the week award for Reyes.
 
The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team posted a 1-0-1 week with a 3-3 draw against regionally-ranked Johns Hopkins University (Sept. 10) and a 2-1 road win over Stevenson University (Sept. 13).
 
Reyes helped apply offensive pressure on the Hopkins defense with one shot on goal before netting the game-winning goal at Stevenson. He finished the Stevenson match with a goal on two shots on target.
 
St. Mary's College (3-3-1) will be back in action Saturday, Sept. 20, when the Seahawks welcome Bridgewater (Va.) College (4-1) to the Jamie L. Roberts Stadium for a non-conference game at 5 pm.
