Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. — The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team remained unbeaten in United East Conference play Wednesday night, defeating Notre Dame (Md.) 64–49 at MBK Athletic Complex.
With the win, the Seahawks improve to 17-5 overall and 10-0 in conference action, while the Gators fall to 11-9 overall and 7-3 in league play.
St. Mary's set the tone early, opening the game on a strong first-quarter push behind efficient shooting and defensive pressure. The Seahawks led 19-13 after the opening period and carried that momentum into halftime, taking a 31-21 advantage into the break.
The Seahawks maintained control throughout the second half, never surrendering the lead. A balanced offensive effort and transition scoring helped stretch the margin to as many as 21 points in the fourth quarter before closing out the 15-point victory.
Olivia Liszt and Keira Mason paced St. Mary's with 13 points apiece. Mason added a game-high 10 rebounds for a double-double, while Liszt connected on three three-pointers and grabbed seven boards. Tramarie Mobray also scored in double figures with 12 points.
The Seahawks' depth proved key, as the bench contributed 31 points and the team converted 32 points off turnovers. St. Mary's also held a 44.4% shooting mark from the field compared to 38.2% for Notre Dame.
Alia Austin led the Gators with 13 points, while Marecia Barnett added nine.
St. Mary's returns to action this weekend when they travel to Valley Forge this Saturday, February 7th for a United East Conference Contest.
