TYSONS, Va. — The St. Mary's College of Maryland baseball team fell to Marymount (Va.), 22–6, in a non-conference contest on Wednesday evening at Capital One Park.

St. Mary's (7-9) answered an early deficit with a four-run second inning but could not keep pace with a high-powered Marymount (11-6) offense that scored in each of the first six innings.

Marymount struck first with four runs in the opening frame, highlighted by a two-run home run from Seth Sadler. The Seahawks responded in the second, stringing together timely hits to even the game at 4-4. Will Wilson drove in a run with a double before Kody Adkins and Eli Shafer each added RBI singles. The Seahawks tied the game on an aggressive play on the bases as DJ Sifford stole home.

The Saints quickly regained control, plating five runs in the bottom of the second to take a 9-4 lead and never looked back. Marymount added two more runs in the third and broke the game open with a five-run fourth inning, extending the advantage to 16-5.

St. Mary's pushed across single runs in the third and fifth innings, including an RBI sacrifice fly from Sifford, but the Saints continued to add on with five runs in the fifth and another in the sixth.

Wilson, Shafer, and Adkins each recorded a hit and an RBI to lead the Seahawks' offense, while Rhett Fletcher and Connor Wilkerson each scored a run.

On the mound, Cam Gill (1-2) took the loss in relief. Noah Gross made the start for the Seahawks, while multiple pitchers combined to cover the final innings.

Marymount was led by Seth Sadler's four RBIs and Evan Schick's five-run performance as the Saints totaled 17 hits on the night.
