Athletic Accomplishments:

In 1977, John was named team MVP. In 1978, he rankedsecond or third in the nation. He had the most saves in a singlegame (26 versus Washington College), most saves in a

season (190), and most goals allowed in a singlegame (16 versus Salisbury). He was also ranked fifth in the nationfor saves. In 1979 he was named the team MVP. In 1980 he was namedteam co-captain and team MVP. He was ranked first in the nation insaves percentage (.763) with 293 saves and 91 goals allowed in 11games. In 1979 John was also selected third team NCAA Division III,All-American and set the school record for number of saves in agame (34 and for goals against average for a game (1.33) or 1 goalallowed in 45 minutes.)
