Words from Her Former Coach, MikeSweeney:

“She was a talented center midfielder with awonderful touch on the ball. Tara was not blessed with great speedbut was extremely fit and had a high work rate. Off the field, Tarawas a very good student and was loved by seemingly everyone oncampus.”

Words from Her Former Soccer Teammate, MaryMurphy ’92:

“Tara walked on the field freshman year andcould juggle and dribble a ball better than any other player on theteam. Her skills were superior to all others. She played centerfield and she was the one player who pretty much dictated how thegame moved, how the field was played; she always knew how to‘shift’ the ball to the other parts of the field wherewe had a stronger player, or where the opponent’s team wasweaker. Tara was just a goofy, nice, sweet, smart and beautifulgirl. She was an excellent athlete too and excelled in basketballas well. TLC was a class act!!”

Tara attended her Hall of Fame induction ceremony one weekbefore her death, September 26, 2002, at age 33, after a longbattle with cancer.
